Middle School Information Nights

The Glanford information night is this Thursday, Feb.2nd at 7 PM, and the Colquitz information night is Monday, Feb.13th at 7 PM.    Every student in grade five in the Greater Victoria School District should have received a glossy "Greater Victoria Middle Schools" pamphlet, mailed ot their home address, listing all ten of the middle school information nights.


Kindergarten Registration

Will be held district wide during the week of Jan.30th - Feb.3rd, 2012, for all children who will be starting kindergarten in September 2012.   For information on registering your child with School District 61, please visit the district website, www.sd61.bc.ca.  


 

Inclement Weather Procedures            

We are now approaching the season when inclement weather may affect the safety and welfare of students. In particular, snowy weather has the potential to cause school closure or to have some School District 61 services suspended.

During inclement weather, information about schools will be updated continuously on the Greater Victoria School District 61 website at http://www.sd61.bc.ca/.

Our own school website will be updated by 7:00 am each morning. Synrevoice updates will be sent out if there are any adjustments to regular school start times etc. 

Within the Greater Victoria School District, the Superintendent of Schools will provide media outlets with information about the status of our facilities and transportation services by 6:30 a.m.


Regular School hours :

Grades Kindergarten to 5: Monday through Friday: 8:40 - 2:48.
(full day Kindergarten starting in September 2011)

Strawberry Vale is a K-5 school with a population of approximately 290 students.
It is located in a semi-rural area in the municipality of Saanich, surrounded by Garry Oak meadows, a school pond and Rosedale Park.

Our local community has many supportive families and businesses that are very much a part of our school.
Strawberry Vale’s innovative building blends into the environment and echoes the theme of Environmental Awareness.

We are very proud of our Earth School status and we continue to teach global awareness by offering many new and exciting projects. Our innovative staff is dedicated to creating a positive learning environment for all children. We currently register 13 divisions, including full-day Kindergarten.
